4th October - Bishop Peter ordained Patrick Hutton to the diaconate at Christ the King, Bedford. An Anglican convert with experience in accountancy, Anglican parishes in London, Norfolk and Middlesex, and missionary work in Guyana, he hopes to be ordained into the priesthood in February 2009, when he will join the small band of Catholic priests with a wife and children - his four are aged between 31 and 22. 3rd October - It has been announced that one of the venues for the eagerly-awaited tour, next year, of the relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux, will be at St Josephs Parish in Gerrards Cross, on Thursday 8th October 2009. This privilege comes to us because St Josephs is a Carmelite parish, and it was the Carmelite order that St Thérèse entered in 1888, at the age of only 15. More details of the anticipated ceremonies will follow. For details of other UK venues, try here.
