Local Ecumenical Structures Minimize

Our diocese covers three whole counties, and part of Berkshire. Each of these counties has an Ecumenical Committee to co-ordinate work under the aegis of Churches Together in England. There is also the Milton Keynes Mission Partnership, which covers the unitary authority of Milton Keynes.
These organisations enable the churches to work together in partnership and act as Sponsoring Body for Local Ecumenical Projects (LEPs) They bring together Church Leaders, Denominational Ecumenical Officers and others.
Each is independent, and works in its own way, and each has its own Ecumenical Officer, whom it employs.

The Diocesan Ecumenical Commission has a representative on each body [name given in brackets].

The County Ecumenical Officers and the web sites or e-mail addresses (where known) are as follows:

Bedfordshire: Ecumenical Officer: vacant [Rev. Mgr. Sèan Healy]
Berkshire: Ecumenical Officer: Honor Alleyne [Rev. Paul Lipscomb]
Buckinghamshire: Ecumenical Officer: Major David Scott, S.A. [Fr. James M. Cassidy]
Milton Keynes: Ecumenical Moderator: Rev. Dr. Mary Cotes [Fr. James M. Cassidy]

Northamptonshire: Ecumenical Officer: Teresa Brown. [Rev. Mgr. Sèan Healy]

Churches Together in England logoChurches Together in England plays its part in supporting and encouraging relationships at a national level. Churches Together at a county and large city level and at a more local level in neighbourhoods are also supported and encouraged, although there is no structural relationship between the various organisations.
Its web site is: www.churches-together.net

There is also Churches Together in Britain & Ireland  which places the emphasis upon the Churches in pilgrimage together towards full visible unity. It is an 'instrument' by which the churches journey towards full visible unity. Its web site is: www.ctbi.org.uk/.
