Volunteering Minimize

All our parishes run on dedicated volunteer power, and yet we often struggle to find people to get involved

Avril’s Keeping and Finding Volunteers workshop covers all the questions that people often ask:

  • Why does anyone volunteer?
  • How can I find the right new people?
  • How to keep people once we’ve found them?
  • What to do when things go wrong?

This workshop is a great kickstarter for anyone involved in volunteering to learn new skills, get top tips on recruitment and get inspired to get others involved.

The day is generally 10-4pm but can be run to suit parish timings.

It can be done for individual parishes or across pastoral areas.

"Thank you for a wonderful day today and all the trainees took part in a positive manner.  The Holy Spirit was truly working for us and we now need to formulate a strategy to implement the points presented. "

"Thank you for a really excellent day! I learned such a lot even in the time I had, especially about writing a recruitment notice, info about the job etc, and now I am really buzzing with ideas. "

"It was an excellent day; one of the best prepared and run that I can remember. Before I arrived I was wondering how you could spin it out for so long; you covered so much ground and kept us on task throughout. Congratulations."
