Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, 

 

Since the autumn of 2010, parish by parish across the Diocese, priests and parishioners have taken up the challenge of Together in Faith.

 

Starting with an initial group of ten, virtually all our 69 parishes have participated. More than 4,100 donors have made gifts or pledges, totalling around £10m, allowing us to plan for the future with confidence.  

 

Through Together in Faith we are raising much needed funds for: 

 

1. Care and support of our clergy, both active and retired 

2  Training of new priests

3. Development of lay ministry

4. Individual parish projects

 

As Bishop, I am heartened by your response and thank you for your continued support. Together in Faith's success to-date is a staggering achievement and a wonderful expression of faith. Monies raised are being overseen by an independent Stewardship Committee which is now meeting regularly. 

 

I want to thank everyone who has already been involved in this historic effort. Your support has been vital.  Your commitment will strengthen our Catholic community as we strive to walk humbly with our God.
